Summer signing Rice put Arsenal ahead in the first half against Brentford only for Yoane Wissa to equalise after pouncing on an Aaron Ramsdale error in first-half stoppage time. Just when it looked like the Gunners would drop points, Kai Havertz headed home the winner late on to secure all three points. After the match, Rice took to social media to bask in the win and England star Mead was quick to revel in the victory.

After Rice posted an Instagram photo of him celebrating his goal and captioned it: "Another one", Gunners star Mead commented on the post, "Big W". She was joined by the likes of Leandro Trossard and Jurrien Timber in praising the midfielder.

Both Arsenal's men's and women's teams are in with a shout of winning the Premier League and Women's Super League this season. Mikel Arteta's side currently sit top of the table, although Manchester City or Liverpool could leapfrog them on Sunday, and Jonas Eidevall's team are three points off leaders Chelsea in the WSL.
