The Reliquary of Compassion is the hardest Reliquary challenge to find in Ghost of Yotei, and the harsh winter landscape isn’t going to make it any easier. It’s a dangerous and cold journey to get here, so we’ve decided to come in and help, just as the Wolf will help Atsu on occasion. Below, you’ll find exactly where you can find the Reliquary of Compassion, and even better (to keep you out of the cold), how to solve the Reliquary of Compassion, so you won’t be freezing to death trying to figure it out.
It’s important to have the Hankyu Bow before starting the Reliquary of Compassion. The Hankyu Bow can be purchased from Ran the Bowyer at the Old Inn for 300 Coins.
How to Find the Reliquary of Compassion in Ghost of Yotei
The Reliquary of Compassion can be found in Teshio Ridge, to the far north in the snowy regions of Ezo. Players will want to venture north until they reach Sarobetsu Lake, which is a lake covered in blue ice. With the map open, head directly north and slightly east into a crevice in the map (pictured above) to find a torri gate. You will need to follow the path from this torri gate across the mountain until you eventually reach a fork in the road. The path splits into two, but players will need to head left if they want to find the Reliquary of Compassion. The path on the right leads to a Shrine. The video below outlines where to go so you don’t get lost, or worse, killed, in the cold.
How to Solve the Reliquary of Compassion in Ghost of Yotei
To start, it’s essential to make fire, or Atsu will freeze to death. The reason we said to purchase the Hankyu Bow was that this Reliquary of Compassion puzzle cannot be completed without it. Pick up the fire arrows to the left of the shrine, and equip the Bow with L2, and the Fire Arrows with Square. Now, each of the four statues will have a small pile of wood on the ground to shoot, which melts the snow and provides Atsu with some warmth. After doing so, read the inscription on the central altar that speaks the riddle:
The mountain took pity on the boy with no home
And lit her fire to keep the boy warm
The wolves gathered around, eyes on the mountain’s hearth
The riddle requires all 4 fox statues to face the pillar in the center, and to do that, we’ve got the solution below, and it’s a simple one:
- Interact with the front left statue twice
- Interact with the back left statue twice
- Interact with the back right statue twice
- Interact with the front right statue twice
This solution will solve the puzzle, upgrading the Charm of Mount Yotei again, along with providing Atsu with the Yotei’s Charge Weapon Kit.
