Antony has spectacularly silenced his critics since moving to Real Betis from Manchester United on a six-month loan deal in the January transfer window. The Brazilian, who was a massive flop at Old Trafford with just 17 goal contributions in 96 appearances since joining the club in the summer of 2022, has already scored three goals and provided two assists for the Red Devils in seven matches across all competitions.

Ex-Betis star Denilson, who spent seven successful seasons at the club between 1998 and 2005, has revealed the reason why his compatriot Antony is enjoying his football again after the nightmare spell with the Red Devils.
WHAT DENILSON SAID
Speaking to , the World Cup-winning Brazilian winger described Antony's move to La Liga as he said: "It was a success. He needed affection and attention to show his immense potential and Betis is the best place for that. As a good Brazilian, he needs joy to be on the pitch and he has recovered that at Betis. He has started very well, with goals and great play. He will bring a lot of joy."
