VIDEO: The NFL loves Cristiano Ronaldo! Davante Adams leads Los Angeles Rams squad in rendition of CR7's iconic celebration after scoring Wembley touchdown

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Cristiano Ronaldo has grown accustomed to seeing his iconic goal celebration mimicked down the years. Screams of ‘Siuuu’ are no longer reserved solely for the Portuguese GOAT, with LA Rams wide receiver Davante Adams leading Wembley Stadium in a rendition of that during the latest instalment of NFL International Series games in 2025.

NFL in London: Adams guides Rams past the Jags

The Rams were in London on Sunday for a regular season clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite flying into England on Saturday morning, leading to questions being asked of their preparation for the game, Adams and Co showed no sign of jetlag or fatigue when cruising to a dominant 35-7 victory.

Veteran receiver Adams registered three touchdowns on the day, with the 32-year-old his usual energetic self when reaching the endzone. As he found himself in surroundings that are more closely associated with a different form of football, Adams decided to offer a nod to soccer in his celebrations.

After registering his third score, Adams led his fellow Rams in a rendition of Ronaldo’s legendary ‘Siuuu’ routine. Those in attendance joined in as a spinning jump through the air was performed en masse.

Former Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets star Adams is enjoying his first season with the Rams. He has six touchdowns to his name, with attacking inspiration being provided during the injury-enforced absence of talismanic team-mate Puka Nacua.

He will be hoping to get his hands on long-awaited major silverware this season as the 5-2 Rams plot a course towards the Super Bowl. Ronaldo is also in the process of chasing down honours after committing to a new two-year contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

Despite now being 40 years of age, there is no sign of CR7 slowing down. The evergreen Portugal international is expected to grace next summer’s World Cup with his country – an event that Adams and Co may look to attend as the United States prepares to fill a role of co-hosts alongside neighbours Canada and Mexico.
